AC/DC Frontman To Write Memoirs

AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson has signed a deal to write his own memoirs.

The singer has been recruited by Penguin Books to pen a collection of his thoughts and anecdotes, which he has been compiling over the years. Johnson's autobiography will shed light on the singer's life, his love for rock and roll and his lesser known passion for motorcars.

The rocker joins a list of celebrities who have published memoirs, including Red Hot Chilli Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis.


Amy Winehouse Shocks With Topless Dance

English singer Amy Winehouse has managed to get herself into trouble even while on holiday!

The troubled singer was on holiday in the Caribbean, reportedly recuperating from her drug problems, but she shocked tourists in the area when she appeared at her hotel balcony topless. Winehouse was allegedly dancing and slurring to loud music, and was oblivious to everything around her.

The singer has had a history of drug-related problems and was recently diagnosed with traces of a lung disease.


Kings of Leon Disobeys Smoking Ban

Rock band Kings of Leon are at the centre of a smoking row after lighting up during a gig.

The American band was performing at the International Arena in Wales, when guitarist Mathhew Followill sparked up a cigarette, defying the smoking ban implemented in the concert venue. Under British law, cigarettes are prohibited from all public indoor areas.

The incident is currently under investigation, and if charged, both the band and venue face a hefty fine.


Robbie Holds Bedside Vigil For Ill Mother

Singer Robbie Williams is holding a bedside vigil for his mother as she recovers from a major heart operation.

The pop star is said to have flown back to his native Britain from his home in Los Angeles to be with his 67-year old mother, before she underwent a heart bypass surgery. The former Take That star is preparing to spend Christmas Day in the hospital with his mother.

Robbie's mother Jan is believed to be in critical but stable condition.


John Lennon's 'Drunk' Tape Sells For $50,000

A drunken recording of the late John Lennon has sold for about $50,000 at an auction.

The tape was made in 1973 after the Beatles singer infamously left his wife Yoko Ono and moved to Los Angeles. The 6-minute recording features a drunk Lennon improvising lyrics to the song "Just Because," and has never been aired in public.

A properly recorded version of the song can be found on the singer's 1975 covers album, Rock N' Roll.
